Straw-yellow colour with light green hints. The bouquet is rich in floral and fruity scents. The balanced acidity and good flavour typical of the terroir of provenance give it an appealing freshness in the mouth.
Grapes for this wine come from the Gavi hills in Alessandria province. The exposure of the mid-altitude hill vineyards and the composition of the terrain (calcareous marl) ensure the production of high quality grapes.
|Wine maker notes
Grapes are harvested by hand and then directly very soft crushed. Fermentation takes place at low temperature without contact with the skins to emphasize the aroma.
A vintage wine, it is ready for bottling at the beginning of the year after the harvest.
13 % Vol.
|Excellent as an aperitif and to accompany white meat dishes, fish and seafood.
|In long ago 1887, Daniele Lanzavecchia was born in a difficult land, outside Monferrato, near Alessandria. Times were hard, and two world wars in succession did not make life easy; but it was in those sad times that the idea of creating something took root.
Starting with a small vine cuttings nursery, so began the tradition and love of the Lanzavecchia family for this plant, which holds within itself a part of our civilization’s history and the eternal relationship between man and nature. Later it would be Pietro, Daniele’s son, who would realize that the area most suited for the cultivation of grape vines is the Langa.
It was here that in 1959 he created the company as it is known today, buying vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba, and later building the winery together with his son, Daniele. Nowadays it is the latter who runs the company together with his daughter Paola.
