Wine Advocate 87 points - While they picked this cepage first, as always, Adelsheim only harvested their 2012 Auxerrois Ribbon Springs Vineyard in the fourth week of September. Zesty pungency of lime and orange on the nose presage a subtly oily and refreshingly citric if pliably-textured palate performance. There is a slight green apple streak in the finish, where I wished for a bit more succulent persistence given what had come before; but this will certainly satisfy - whether solo or accompanied by cuisine - over at least the next 6-9 months.
Wine Enthusiast 90 points - Super fragrant, with lush scents of citrus, apple and a hint of vanilla, this excellent Auxerrois pushes confidently through the palate and into a well-defined, lengthy, slightly saline finish. Unique and delicious. - Editor’s Choice (Dec 2013)
