Winemaker`s Notes
Byron 2001 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley, a blend of grapes from our Nielson and Sierra Madre estates, is complex and expressive, combining the best attributes from each vineyard. Rich aromas of ripe cherry, red plum, tobacco, cedar and clove are highlighted by pleasing accents of violets and rose petals. The wine displays remarkable intensity of flavor, featuring hints of black cherry, plum, spice and a nicely integrated oak component. The richly textured mouthfeel is supported by the right touch of natural acidity and smooth tannins. The wine culminates in a long, plush finish.
