More than one thousand years ago, in A.D. 958 or 959, the Italian King Berengario II gave to Rambaldo, ancestor of the Collalto family, the area called Corte Lovadina. The Collalto family still owns land in Susegana in the province of Treviso. Approximately 160 acres are planted in the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore region with vineyards located between Susegana and Collalto. The vines are planted on a steep south-southeast facing slope between 150-1500 feet. The soils are mainly calcareous and clay. The Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut and Extra Dry are made from select grapes, harvested early and fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks to enhance delicacy and acidity. Lampo is produced using grapes from Treviso and Valdobbiadene. Following a second fermentation using the Charmat method, the wine is filtered to separate the yeasts prior top bottling. Borgoluce is firmly rooted in sustainable farming methods. This means limiting environmental impact and reducing the use of pesticides.
Technical notes
100% Glera). The vineyards are situated in the hills between Valdobbiadene, Susegana and Collalto. Charmat method, with second fermentation in autoclaves.

Producer
In A.D. 958 or 959, the Italian King Berengario II bequeathed a parcel of land called Corte Lovadina to the Collalto family. The family has retained ownership of this valuable, 160 acre property located in the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore region of Treviso, Italy. The vineyards are planted on a steep south-southeast facing slope between 150-1500 feet to calcareous and clay soils. Lampo is produced using grapes from Treviso and Valdobbiadene. The wines are vinified in the Charmat method and then filtered. The family firmly believes in sustainable farming and uses viticulture methods that minimize the use of pesticides and diminish their overall environmental impact.
