“The beauty of a blend,” explains Winemaker Jason Dodge, “is the flexibility it allows me to follow a desired style. For this wine, I selected Zinfandel, Syrah and Merlot, all varietals with inherently vibrant fruit, smooth body and low tannins. The Zinfandel gives ripe raspberry flavors, the Syrah lends juicy boysenberry and blueberry notes and the Merlot rounds it out with succulent plum and blackberry. Together, they create a wine with intense fruit character and a velvety smooth, rich mouthfeel.”

The brand Ensemble ® was inspired by the art of blending. The wines are a harmonious blend of several varietals where the sum of the parts is better than one. The artistic approach to the labels also features the ensemble of colors that reflect flavor cues of the blends in the bottle.
