Wine Spectator 93 points - Elegant, with rich base notes of toasted brioche and smoke adding depth, this integrates finely honed acidity, detailed texture and flavors of black cherry puree, apple tarte Tatin, kumquat and grated ginger. Provides a creamy, mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2022. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 50,000 cases made. –AN Rated #84 in Wine Spectator’s 2012 Top 100  (Dec 15 2012)

Wine Enthusiast 92 points - Toasty aromas leap from the glass in this deliciously mature wine. It is soft but still very dry, with acidity tamed by both fine, mature fruit and a creamy texture that sits well in the mouth. This is a very fine, tasty wine. Score: 92. —Roger Voss, December 01, 2005.

Wine Spectator 89 points - Lacy and graceful, this Champagne builds in intensity as its firm structure and viscous texture frame the honey, mineral and candied berry notes. Drink now. Score: 89. —Bruce Sanderson, November 30, 2006.

Wine Advocate points, 87 - The 2000 Brut is round and generous in its candied apricots, honey and roasted nuts. The wine offers good length but not as much complexity or personality as I had hoped. The 2000 Brut is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. This bottle was disgorged in 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2012.
