Young, vibrant and balanced, this deep red wine with purplish shades boasts ripe red fruits such as raspberry, blackberry and plum. A fresh floral profile of lavender and spicy peppery notes testify as to the wild aspect of the variety. A very expressive and pleasant wine.
As it rarely happens in Mendoza, this vintage was complex but really satisfactory in terms of quality. We had to make several adjustments after a widely dispersed frost during spring and summer rains, shifting into a sunny and extended autumn. This vintage proved that the best can also come from adversity.
|Terrazas de los Andes was named by Wine Spectator as ”One of the 20 worldwide wineries which year after year delivers consistent high quality wines.” The vineyards are in the foothills of the Andes, where each varietal is grown at the ideal altitude for optimal development. The pre-phylloxera vines are irrigated with snowmelt from the Andes.
