Very dark red, opaque. Very powerful aromas of Blackberries, blueberries, and other dark fruit. The combination of Montepulciano and Cab somehow turn this into the essence of a high level Merlot. Soft, elegant, very smooth. No sharp edges. A well constructed wine that seems to continue expanding in your mouth. Some bitterness in the end and acidity shows the wine has some aging in front of it. the fruit soft tannins and overall elegance make this an exceptional wine for the price. Maybe not perfect for food-but delicious nonetheless.
