The 2006 Isola dei Nuraghi S’Arai is 40% Cannonau, 30% Carignano and 30% Bovale Sardo, all indigenous red grapes. This is a rich, dark wine bursting with black fruit, sage, licorice, herbs and minerals. There is wonderful delineation and nuance in the glass, along with a sense of richness that frames the fruit beautifully on the long finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.
