CINGHIALE RATING 4.3
Brownish color with some brick and red highlights. Old color and old nose. Fragrance of tar and decaying leaves with some celery root . Taste was more in line with Barolo expectations. Good structure, firm tannins, fruit a bit shallow. Good overall balance and elegance, even though the wine seemed to be just slightly off its peak as it opened up with time it grew into a very powerful and mouth filling wine, providing a lot of excellent (No Suggestions) character and enduring elegance. Impressive on how the wine developed within the one Hour of tasting.
